Bradley Whitehead
Bradley Whitehead obtained his PhD from Cardiff University in 2019 and is currently Assistant Professor of Extracellular vesicles in infectious diseases at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University, Denmark.
Bradley has worked with EVs from multiple sources ranging from cancer cells to bacterial OMVs but with a current research focus on host immune modulation by EVs released from parasitic helminths. Specifically, by extensive characterization coupled with in vitro and in vivo functional studies of EVs released from helminths we aim to determine the role of EVs in host-parasite communication, which enables these large metazoan parasites to avoid or delay sterilizing immunity and establish chronic infections.
