ABOUT THE EVENT
One health is an umbrella term explaining the interconnected nature of the whole biosphere. It promotes holistic research where experts from backgrounds as diverse as sociology, engineering, biotechnology, and medicine can come together to decipher solutions to problems that concerns every aspect of life as we know it. The applicability and importance of one health approach was clearly on display during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The ERA chair of Comparative Medicine under the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences at the Estonian University of Life Sciences (COMBIVET) has initiated a community of eminent researchers in the Baltic region involved with one health related research. The conference “One Health Estonia” is an opportunity for interested parties to share their research and ideas.
Considering the pandemic situation, the event will be organized as a hybrid event. Both physical and virtual attendees will be welcome and would have an excellent opportunity to network and initiate collaborations in the field of One Health.
