Deep Bhattacharya

Deep Bhattacharya, a Biotechnology graduate from SRM University, Chennai, India, holds a B.Tech with a focus on Cancer Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Immunology (2021). His academic journey continued with a Master's in Biotechnology from Lund University (2023), specializing in Synthetic Biology, Probiotics, and Bioprocessing. Notably, Deep earned a gold medal at iGEM for his work on developing a probiotic for bees, addressing glyphosate's impact on bee populations. His master's thesis focused on spider silk protein production. Currently, a Junior Research Fellow at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Deep, under Combivet ERA Chair, explores milk-derived extracellular vesicles' role in anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory diseases. His multidisciplinary expertise positions him as a valuable contributor to biotechnology's health and environmental sustainability challenges.
