Janne Leivo

Member of the board of the Finnish Society for Extracellular Vesicles (FISEV) and actively participates in the training and education of EV-related research in Finland.

Dr. Janne Leivo is an adjunct professor and the Early Cancer Detection group leader at the University of Turku, Finland. The group's primary focus is to design new concepts for early cancer detection and precision management with novel EV-based biomarkers and test technologies. Our research combines biomarker discovery, antibody and assay development, and clinical evaluation of biomarkers for the most prevalent solid cancers. Through clinical and industry collaborations, our activities are at the interface of basic, translational and clinical research, emphasizing diagnostic applications of EVs.
