Eligibility Criteria

1/4/2023

The research school is well suited for researchers who require a firm foundation in basics to begin their journey into the EV field. Therefore, we encourage students/researchers willing to start research in the field of EVs or who have just begun their journey in EV research as potential trainees to this program (The eligibility under this criterial will be assessed using CV and the motivation letter submitted with the application).

We will try to incorporate students/researchers from different countries and different academic institutes as much as possible in order to increase the diversity and inclusiveness of the research school participants.

The research school will target to educate and provide hands on experience in the basics of Extracellular vesicle (EVs) isolation, characterization and the related data analysis from a panel of international experts with years of experience in handling EVs from different sources. A series of lectures covering the required theoretical knowledge, best practices, tips and tricks, troubleshooting and adherence to the standards set by the International Society for Extracellular vesicles (ISEV) would also be offered. Latest developments in the field such as mass production of EVs will be thoroughly discussed along with the basics such as size exclusion chromatography, tangential flow filtration, ultracentrifugation, nanoparticle tracking analysis, flow cytometry for EVs, EV RNA extraction and characterization. The school is well suited for EV researchers who require a firm foundation in basics to begin their journey into the world of EV research.
